Raksha Mantri's Discretionary Fund (RMDF)

All the applications of ESM related to RMDF grants are initially processed at Zila Sainik Board (ZSB) and Rajya Sainik Board (RSB), if applicable, before being forwarded to Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB). Various assistance like Penury, Marriage, Education, Funeral, Medical, Orphan grants and assistance for House Repairs ranging from an amount of Rs.5,000/- to Rs. 30,000/- are provided from this fund.Read More>>

Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme

Sainik Rest House


  The basic aim of constructing a Sainik Rest House is to provide suitable and cheap accommodation to the ESMs during their short visit to the State Capital/Distt HQs for settlement of their pension cases and other matters like availing the facilities of CSD Canteens, hospital etc. KSB shares 50% of the cost of construction of Sainik Rest Houses.Read More>>


KSB - Welfare Schemes

Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre (PRC) at Kirkee & Mohali. PRC Kirkee and Mohali are being run for rehabilitation of Paraplegic and Tetraplegic Ex-Servicemen. The following grants are provided by KSB:- Home Expenditure on inmate Expenditure on Est Total PPH, Kirkee Rs. 11,68,000/- Rs. 9,60,750/- Rs. 21,28,750/- PPH Mohali Rs. 4,38,000/- Rs. 4,34,375/- Rs. 8,72,375/- Grant to Cheshire Homes for Maintenance of ESMs/Dependants. Cheshire Homes look after leprosy patients, mentally handicapped patients, chronic spastic/paraplegic and TB patients.
